This 1-hour long concert featured Chansoo Lee as its main performer. The title “Chosim” means “beginner’s mind,” expressing respect for the basics and tradition, as well as the importance of humility as a practicing artist. Through this concert, Lee wanted to showcase his range in traditional percussion performance. The program included Binari (traditional prayer-chant), Seoljanggu (hourglass drum solo), Samulnori (four-piece percussion ensemble), a guest performance by a gayageum (string) player, and Sangmo Nori (spinning hat dance). Performed at Constellation in Chicago.
