Windy City Seoljanggo is an original arrangement for solo janggu inspired by Chicago's iconic nickname, "The Windy City." The work draws on Korean traditional rhythms, highlighting the expressive possibilities of Korean percussion through a focused, solo performance. Inspired by Chicago's resilience, diversity, and constant movement, the arrangement translates the city's character into rhythm. Contrasting tempos, intricate patterns, and dynamic phrasing evoke the energy of an ever-changing urban landscape while remaining rooted in Korea's rich percussion tradition.
